The Octomore 16.3 is a prime example of our single-estate Islay barley, packed with phenols and exceedingly complex thanks to masterful cask maturation—the archetypal Octomore experience. This Islay edition convincingly demonstrates the influence of local barley, grown on the Octomore Farm in Church Field. Honey-sweet malt, roasted grain, and earthy depth meet subtle peat smoke and salty, maritime freshness. Not an Octomore for loud moments – rather a complex masterpiece for contemplative enjoyment and recognizing the soul of the island of Islay in every facet and in every sip.

AROMA
Blooming heather, distant bonfire smoke, subtly spicy sweetness, barley sugar, freshly baked bread, citrus zest, and green apple peels
TASTE
Honey-sweet malt, roasted Grains, distinctive earthy notes, aromas of orchard, citrus fruits, and a hint of vanilla, subtle smoky and salty notes, heather, coconut, and gorse.
AFTERNOON
Medium finish, sweet barley malt, subtle floral notes, gentle smokiness of a beach campfire, refreshing citrus notes, and a hint of salty minerality.
