Macallan’s “A Night on Earth” series explores the unique traditions with which people around the world welcome the New Year. For the fourth edition, Macallan travels to one of the first places on Earth to be touched by the first light of the sun: New Zealand.

Here, at this auspicious time of year, we look back on the past and welcome the future together. Through the striking illustrations of local artist Bonnie Brown, this edition captures the essence of the celebrations in the southern hemisphere—their vibrant images, fragrant aromas, and cherished traditions of togetherness.

Created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery team in honor of this moment of unity, this whisky is matured in a harmonious combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, with only a few casks previously used to store bourbon. It offers a warm, fruity profile—a taste that reflects the joy of festive summer gatherings on the coast and the shared hope that illuminates the beginning of a new year.
