Lochlea 2020 Oloroso #244 Awakening – 59,6%

With Lochlea, the Scottish distillery landscape has recently grown to include an independent, family-run farm distillery. The former Laphroaig Distillery Manager and current Lochlea Production Director and Master Blender, John Campbell, is not the only person responsible for the unmistakable style of their single malt. Lochlea is one of only four distilleries in Scotland to use exclusively home-grown barley and distils and matures its whisky on site. The Lochlea single malt is therefore traceable from the field to the bottle – true to the distillery’s motto, “Dare to be honest”.
