This Lindores Abbey 2021 was bottled by the Thompson Bros in 2026. The whisky was initially matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and subsequently finished in an Oloroso sherry cask. The cask yielded 299 bottles at 55.9% ABV.

Despite its young age, the Lindores distillery in the Scottish Lowlands is a distillery steeped in history. According to written records in the Excehquer Roll from 1494, the Lindores monk John Cor was commissioned by King James IV to transform 8 Bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae. This amount corresponds to around 500 kilograms and would mature to produce up to 400 bottles of whiskey. Embedded in the ruins of the old monastery, the production of whiskey started again in 2017, so that the first whiskey could be offered in spring 2021 after 527 years.
