The Kilchoman Rockside epitomises traditional farm distilling. From grain to bottle, the whisky was produced on Islay. After 11 years of maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, the whisky was bottled at 46%.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
