Uniquely Islay 2025 “An-T-Earrach” means “spring” in Gaelic and features new experimental single casks, innovative full-cask maturations – Sauternes, Moscatel – and, for the first time, exceptionally long cask finishes.

This Kilchoman 2011 matured for the first 10 years in a bourbon barrel and was then finished for over 3 years in a Calvados cask before being bottled exclusively for the German market in 2025.

Taste: The Calvados cask finish has waves of fresh fruits and green apple notes with honey and smoked oak.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
