Dieser Kilchoman 2016 reifte die ersten knapp 7 Jahre in einem Port Fass und wurde dann für über 19 Monate in einem White Port Fass gefinished, bevor er 2025 exklusiv für den deutschen Markt abgefüllt wurde.

Taste: The White Port Cask finish has salted caramel sweetness, ripe red berries and sweet tobacco smoke.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
