This 10-year-old Clynelish was bottled by Brave New Spirits for the Cask Masters series. The whisky matured in a first-fill bourbon hogshead and displays aromas of oily vanilla and heather.

The distillery—whose name means “hillside” or “garden on the slope”—is located a few miles north of Dunrobin Castle near the village of Brora, placing it in the Northern Highlands region. It was built in 1967 right next to another distillery; the latter was subsequently renamed “Brora” after both had operated under the same name for a time. The water for Clynelish comes from the Clynemilton Burn.
