This Islay single malt from the Caol Ila Distillery was distilled on 6 October 2010 and matured in a wine barrel from the Hospices de Nuits region in Burgundy. After 14 years of maturation, the whisky was bottled at 56.7% ABV.

The distillery is located north of Port Askaig on the isle Islay directly at the kyle of Islay. From the distillery you have a wonderful view of the isle Jura. It was built in 1846 and since 1974 it has a completely new stillhouse with six stills. It is owned by Diageo and can be mentioned as a good example for a ‘working house’ that mainly produces for blends for Johnnie Walker.
