Auch im Jahr 2025 bringt die Bunnahabhain Distillery wieder eine limitierte Cask Strength Edition raus. Der Whisky reifte für 12 Jahre überwiegend in Second Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks.

Tasting Notes:
Nase: Goldene Rosinen und Aprikosen, balanciert mit gerösteten Nüssen und einer leichten floralen Note.
Gaumen: Malzige Süße, weiches Eichenholz und Trockenfrucht – Sultanas, Haselnüsse, sanfte Würze.
Finish: Eichenwürze und leichter Tabak, mit einem Hauch Meersalz und Kakaopulver.

The Bunnahabhain distillery is located at the kyle of Islay at the edge of the island in the northeast and lays that isolated, that there had to be constructed a long and curvy street down to the sea as it was built in 1881.The water that is used has its origin in an underground spring from the river Margadale and therefore it comes from Islay it has a relatively low concentration of peat.
Until 2003 it was owned by an descendant of the founder, Highland Distillers. Nowadays it is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.
