This 26-year-old Bunnahabhain was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the first Whisky Live Germany 2025 Awakening series. The whisky matured from 1998 to 2025 in American Hoghshead Cask No. 5453 and was bottled at 50.6% ABV.

The Bunnahabhain distillery is located at the kyle of Islay at the edge of the island in the northeast and lays that isolated, that there had to be constructed a long and curvy street down to the sea as it was built in 1881.The water that is used has its origin in an underground spring from the river Margadale and therefore it comes from Islay it has a relatively low concentration of peat. Until 2003 it was owned by an descendant of the founder, Highland Distillers. Nowadays it is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.
