The distillery Arran is located on the head of an island that owns the same name and lays between the western coast of Scotland and the peninsula Kintryre. The island Arran has good access from Glasgow by car and ferry. The distillery started producing in 1995 on time delay, because of a pair of Golden Eagles that hatched right where the distillery was supposed to be build. It was built by Harold Currie, who had been very successful in the whisky industrie and even was director of Chevas. With building the distillery a big dream for him came true.

Tasting Notes
A whisky with a rather subtle nose – then intense and lush on the palate with aromas of dark, ripe cherries combined with dark chocolate. With a few drops of water you discover a creamy sweetness reminiscent of Amarena cherries that harmonizes outstandingly with a light, very pleasant chocolatey bitter note. The whisky offers a very long, intense and mouth-filling aftertaste.
