Old St. Croix Black Barrel Navy Spiced was developed in close collaboration between the master blender and experienced bartenders – with one clear goal: to take your cocktails to the next level. This spiced rum blend is based on the same barrels as the Navy series and offers a dark, full-bodied and aromatic flavour profile. As the name suggests, Black Barrel is matured in heavily charred oak barrels. The charred surface reduces the tannins and opens the pores of the wood – for a smoother, rounder and more complex character.

Albert Heinrich Riise was a Danish pharmacist and botanist. He lived from 1810 to 1882.

He discovered rum in the West Indies, where he worked as a pharmacist. He exported to several continents and was also very successful in his home country. Today, the brand is marketed by Dansk-Vestindisk Rom Kompagni. The name Old St. Croix is ​​a tribute to the fertile island of the same name.
