| For over a century, Berry Bros & Rudd has built up an extensive collection of fine, rare whiskies from around the world.
In the extensive range you will find bottles from well-known regions such as Scotland, Ireland, the USA and Japan. But you will also find whiskies from lesser-known, up-and-coming countries such as Sweden, Australia and many others. Scotch whisky is still the dominant force in the industry and is countered by the influence of Irish whisky. American styles owe more to Irish whisky than Scotch, while Japanese whiskies tend to emulate classic Scotch styles. Although traditions are still very much alive – many producers are returning to old methods – today’s whisky industry is more innovative than ever before.

This whisky from a single barrel from an unknown Orkney distillery was distilled in 1998 and then matured in a hogshead until it was bottled by Berry Bro's for the German Retailer's Choice in 2023.

A Secret Speyside Distillery 2003/2022 speaks to sherry fans. Matured entirely in a first fill puncheon between 18 and 19 years, it indulges with typical notes of sweet spices, fruitcake and dried fruit, to which a touch of cigar smoke and wax adds further dimensions.

The Reunion Rum 2016/2023 is an exclusive rum delight. Distilled by the traditional producer Savanna on the French island of La Réunion, it was matured by Berry Bros & Rudd in red wine casks and bottled at a crisp 65% vol. As German Retailer's Choice, it was selected in person and on site in London at the beginning of the year.

This 2007 Macduff was chosen during a dealer's trip to London. Together with a few colleagues, we decided on a few barrels from Berry Bro's. The whiskey matured in a Pomerol cask and is limited to 297 bottles. The Macduff was bottled at a cask strength of 53.2%.
Our Tasting Notes
The malty, creamy basic character of the MacDuff is perfectly complemented by the final aging in the Pomerol red wine cask. The grain notes are joined by strong yet pleasantly sweet aromas of dark, ripe berries (blackberries, currants) and a subtle wine note.

Two industry giants came together for this single cask: The Benriach 2010/2024 was selected by Klaus St. Rainer exclusively for the Golden Bar at Berry Bros & Rudd.
As one of the best-known, most creative and experienced bartenders in Germany, Klaus St. Rainer has been behind the bar for almost 40 years. Today at the award-winning Goldene Bar in Munich, which the former apprentice of bar legend Charles Schumann has been co-running since 2010.
Berry Bros & Rudd is the UK's oldest specialist wine and spirits retailer. For over 300 years, the family-run Purveyor to the Court has demonstrated its expertise in premium spirits in independent and own bottlings.
In addition to King Charles, discerning connoisseurs in this country can now also convince themselves of the skills of the bar and London institution. The Benriach 2010/2024 from the distillery once run by Billy Walker matured in a classic bourbon hogshead. Bottled at a powerful 62.3% vol. Cask Strength, the Speysider combines crisp, caramelised orchard fruits with vanilla and delicate spice before finishing long with roasted almonds.
