A. D. Rattray

A. D. Rattray was founded in 1868 by Andrew Dewar Rattray and began trading as an importer of French wines, Italian spirits and olive oil. More importantly, the company has also established itself as a specialist in mixing and storing malt and grain whisky.

The company’s horse-drawn wagons hauling boxes of fine wine and liquor were a familiar sight in Clydeside and central Glasgow in the late 19th century.

Today Rattray is one of the largest independent bottlers of Scottish whisky.
