As early as the 15th century, cattle traders and drivers bought their whisky at the site of today’s distillery in Tomatin in the Highlands. It was legalized in 1897. Today the A 9 passes between Perth and Inverness nearby and is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland. Much of their whiskey is used for blends.
