Founded in 1824 by John Beith & Co in Campbeltown. Individual buildings have been preserved to this day and are used by the Springbank distillery. Since 1985 Springbank has been issuing a double distilled single malt whiskey made of peated malt under the name Longrow (in addition to the triple distilled Hazelburn).

The Springbank 100 Proof matured exclusively in bourbon casks for five years. The whisky was bottled in November 2025 at an alcohol strength of 57.1%.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: Notes of leather-bound books, bung cloth and dunnage warehouses are followed by sweeter characteristics of treacle, caramel and bramble.
Taste: On the palate there are notes of marshmallow and cotton candy, with a syrupy mouthfeel and subtle mineral note. The earthy tone from the nose carries through.
Finish: Notes of cocoa powder, cappuccino and mint linger in the finish.
