Founded in 1794 by the brothers John and Hugh Stevenson, the distillery is now in the middle of the port city of the same name. The water comes from Loch Gleann a’Bherraidh. The company Diageo is the owner of the still, whose 14-year-old whiskey belongs to the six “Classic Malts of Scotland”.
