Mortlach is the oldest distillery in Dufftown, the center of the Speyside. It was founded on the banks of the Dullon in 1823, but draws its water from the Conval Hills. Their whisky is distilled in a special process with six stills, one of which bears the beautiful name “wee witchy”, little witch.

This 1992 Mortlach single cask was bottled by Malts of Scotland for their own "Rare Cask Range". Maturation took place in a sherry hogshead, yielding 259 bottles. The whiskey is neither chill filtered nor colored and was bottled at cask strength.
