Glenturret calls itself (like some others) the oldest distillery in Scotland, which is not unlikely, since a distillery already existed on today’s site in 1775. It has been named Glenturret since 1875. It is very picturesque outside of Crieff on the River Turret. The water comes from Loch Turret. She produces for the Blend Famous Grouse, which the distillery itself puts absolutely in the foreground. Visitors are welcomed to the “Famous Grouse Experience”.
