Using over 40,000 casks from more than 90 different Scottish distilleries, Murray McDavid creates multi-faceted experiences ranging from ‘mystery malt’ to rarity. At the end of its maturation period, this 15-year-old Glentauchers receives a finish in former cognac casks.

This Glentauchers was matured for a total of 25 years. This maturation is divided into a longer part in Bourbon Hogsheads and then a First Fill Justino's Madeira Finish. For this bottling, two casks were blended, so that finally 555 bottles with an alcohol content of 45.5% could be bottled. Nose: Floral with red berries Palate: Barley, dark chocolate, lots of elegance. Finish: Fruits and nuts, but also a little spice.
