The Glenmorangie 18 "The Infinita" matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.

The X by Glenmorangie was developed with mixologists to create a sweeter and fuller taste. It is specially designed for mixing and to take classic cocktails to a new level. It has delicious flavors of pear, vanilla and honeysuckle orange that can be used to transform even the simplest drink into something extraordinary.

This Glenmorangie is part of the "A Tale of..." series. This series offers exceptional bottlings that stand out from the distillery's classic bottlings. "A Tale of Spices" focuses on the diverse world of oriental spices. Red wine casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and heavily charred virgin oak casks were used, among others, to achieve the goal of naturally creating the profound complexity and warmth of spices through careful cask selection.

The whisky matures for the longest time of its twelve years in bourbon barrels (= 8 years) before it receives a finish in Palo Cortado sherry barrels (= 4 years). The special feature of the maturation are the Palo Cortado casks, whose former content is one of the rarest sherry varieties. This Glenmorangie is also the first bottling of the distillery from these Palo Cortado casks. The taste alternates the typically sweet and spicy flavours of a Glenmorangie. The finish is particularly striking and a great strength of this whisky. The finish is extremely long-lasting, graceful and is accompanied by an elegant nuttiness.

This bottling from Glenmorangie is absolutely unique. The malt was dried over botanicals during the production of the whisky. This method resulted in a lively and peppery single malt with aromas of pine, mint, eucalyptus and bitter oranges, accompanied by bittersweet notes and some wood smoke. The illustrator Pomme Chan was commissioned to design the bottle and outer packaging. Thus, a fantasy forest was also created on the packaging, which perfectly underscores the aromas of the whisky.

The new edition of Glenmorangie Lasanta was initially matured for 14 years in bourbon casks and then transferred to Oloroso sherry casks for the final 12 months. This maturation gives the single malt a round and balanced character with sweet and floral aromas of chocolate and spices.
