From its inception in 1875 to today, Glenglassaugh has been inactive for almost half the time. It is located near the sea between the Spey and the Deveron near Portsoy in the Highlands. The water comes from the valley of Glenglassaugh.

This 10-year-old whiskey from the Glenglassaugh Distillery was bottled by Kirsch Import for the Simply Good Whiskey series. The whiskey matured for a total of 11 years in a 1st fill Sauternes Hogshead and was bottled at a cask strength of 56.5%.
