Glendronach, das „Tal des Dronach“, wurde 1826 am Dronachburn im Valley of Forgue nordöstlich von Huntly in Aberdeenshire von James Allardice gegründet und gehört somit zur Region der Highlands. Lange Zeit wurden fast ausschließlich Oloroso- Sherryfässer für die Lagerung des Glendronach verwendet, was auch heute noch seinen Stil prägt. Sie gehört zusammen mit Glenglassaugh und Benriach der Benriach Distillery Company Ltd.

This 27 year old Glendronach was bottled for the in-house Single Cask series. The whisky for this bottling was distilled in 1992 and was then allowed to develop its full potential in the port pipe with the number 5897 for 27 years until it was finally bottled in 2020.
