The distillery is located in the village of Keith on the banks of the Isla River, just opposite Strathisla, in the Speyside. It was built in 1957 by Chivas Brothers on the building of a former grain mill and was the first distillery ever to be rebuilt since 1900. The distillery was closed in 1999 and has been in operation again since 2013 under the current owner Pernod Ricard.

This whisky is a 1996 Glen Keith from the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. This cask was selected by renowned owner Andrew Symington and has notes of gingerbread, malted bread and black molasses on the palate.

This Strathisla was distilled in October 1968 and then matured in the Refill American Hogshead with the number 6439 until June 2018, i.e. 49 years. The whisky still comes in the old design by Gordon & macphail and bears the addition "Archive Release".
