Fettercairn, was so viel wie Fuß des Steinmonuments bedeutet, liegt am südlichen Rand der Cairngorms und gehört zur Region der Eastern Highlands. Sie wurde 1824 von Sir Alexander Ramsay gegründet und erhielt als zweite Destille nach Glenlivet eine offizielle Brennlizenz.

This Fettercairn is one of four bottlings which form the last series for the 50th anniversary of the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft.
The whisky matured in an American oak barrel and was bottled at 50.0%. The bottling is limited to 202 bottles.

The Fettercairn was aged for 12 years in ex-Bourbon barrels made from American white oak. It has pleasant aromas of vanilla and fresh fruits. Ina ddition you can find tropical notes, caramel, coffee and cloves in the taste. It is bottled with 40%.
