SINGLE MALT
Single malt Scotch whisky is the purest distillate of Scottish whisky production. The term includes several facts: Single = from a distillery, malt = made from malted barley, Scotch = made in Scotland and whisky = stored in used oak barrels for at least 3 years. In addition, the “drink” made taking these factors into account must contain at least 40% vol. Have alcohol to call yourself whisky.
For the sake of clarity, we have divided the single malt category into distilleries, independent bottlers, our own bottlings and rarities, each of which can be found in a single category.

The Ardbeg Uigeadail is named after the spring the distillery gets its water from, the Loch Uigeadail. The composition out of sherry and bourbon casks gives the whisky a smokey sweetness with nice oily flavours of fruits and honey.

Tasting Notes:
Farbe: Poliertes Mahagoni
Nase: Rosinen, Mandarinen und ein Hauch von Gewürzen, die einen vollmundigen Dram versprechen.
Geschmack: Warme Noten von reifen Feigen und süßen Kirschen, luxuriös, aber mit einer schönen Balance zwischen dem kraftvollen Sherry Cask und dem subtilen Arran-Charakter, der die Raffinesse bewahrt.
Finish: Lang, würzig mit einem Hauch von rosa Pfeffer, Haselnüssen und gerösteter Eiche. Elegant.

At the same time as the Tomatin, we and our friends from the whisky store in Oberhausen bottled another top whiskey in spring, which is in no way inferior to the Tomatin in terms of quality. It's a Deanston 2007 from a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. The whisky was of course bottled at cask strength.
In terms of taste, this whisky features an enormous range of fruity aromas paired with a nice herbal note. The exact tasting notes will follow shortly. A total of 564 bottles are available at both stores.
