ISLAY
The Hebridean island of Islay is the epitome of Scotch whisky for many whiskey lovers around the world. From here come the smoky, peaty and phenolic whiskys that cannot deny their origin. Since peat was the only available fuel in the past centuries, it was of course also used for whisky production. The fact that some of the warehouses are located directly on the sea, due to the geographical conditions, is another important factor for the aroma of Islay whiskys.

The Ardbeg Uigeadail is named after the spring the distillery gets its water from, the Loch Uigeadail. The composition out of sherry and bourbon casks gives the whisky a smokey sweetness with nice oily flavours of fruits and honey.

To celebrate our 120th anniversary, we will soon be receiving the first official cask from the Ardnahoe Distillery, delivered exclusively for us. We have chosen Bourbon Cask #570 from 2019. This six-year-old whisky perfectly reflects the distillery's character in combination with the bourbon cask.

After the great success of the Machir Bay in Cask Strength, Kilchoman is now presenting the Kilchoman Sanaig 'Dark Batch' in cask strength for the first time. Like the classic Sanaig, the Sanaig Cask Strength matured primarily in Oloroso sherry casks, but was bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.8% ABV.
