In the formerly very important whiskey region of Campbeltown (at the southern tip of which the Mull of Kintyre is located), which is located on the peninsula of the same name and was once a very important region with sometimes over 30 distilleries, 5 different single malt whiskys are currently produced in 3 distilleries. The Springbank distillery comes from the Springbank distillery, as well as Longrow and Hazelburn. Kilkerran is made at the Glengyle Distillery and the selection of whiskys from the Campbeltown region is rounded off by the Glen Scotia Distillery.
