In this limited (only 460 bottles in Germany) version of the Santamania Gin, fresh cherries are macerated for a week in a grape alcohol (Tempranillo grapes). To achieve the best taste, all cherries are halved and the core removed. Only the best pulp is used for maceration. After maceration, the cherries and alcohol are distilled in a copper still called VERA. The result is a delicious, pure cherry vodka.During the distillation the following botanicals are added: fresh juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, cardamom seeds and nutmeg. During the distillation process, the gin is refined with fresh lemon peel via steam infusion.
