    The Port Charlotte PAC:01 is made up of two parts: The first component matured for 6 years in American Oak and received a finish for 2 years in red wine casks, the second matured for 7 years in American Oak and received a finish in second fill red wine casks. The barrels used for each finish come from the Pauillac region in France.

    The distillery Port Charlotte was founded in 1829 by Colin Campbell. After having many different owners it was shut down in 1929. The warehouses still exist and are also used. The distillery used to have the name Lochindaal or Loch Indaal as well. There are produced and bottled whiskys in Bruichladdich unwder the name ‘Port Charlotte’. The announced reopening by Bruichladdich has not been realized until today.
