The 1703 Master Select Mount Gay is a very special creation of the master blender Allen Smith. In this bottling, different rums from the oldest stocks of the distillery are blended. These are column- and pot-style distilled rums, which, when bottled, reach a minimum age of 10 years. The 1703 Master Select is limited to 13,830 bottles.

Barbados, also known as the mecca for Rum in the Caribbean, is a small island of the antilles and is placed at the east end of the Caribbean. Since 1640 is the sucrose production one of the most important source of income fo the country which got independant in 1966.
