Mac Nair’s 10 years Cask Strength Peated – 55,4%

Contemporary in design, with a metallic finish and eye-catching potential: this is the new MacNair’s range. Last summer, the brand known for its award-winning, smoky blended malt whiskeys enjoyed a revival as the home of premium small-batch bottlings. Masterfully supervised by whiskey luminary Billy Walker, they mature in selected, innovative casks and flow into the elegant, heavy bottles, neither chill-filtered nor colored. The first cask strength bottling is now available.

For his Lum Reek Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey 10 yo. Billy Walker marries vintage single malts from the Highlands, Speyside and the Isle of Islay with aged GlenAllachie single malt. The result: harmony of peat and fruit. The blended malt Scotch matures in high-quality Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks, which refine its peat-smoky and rich, fruity character. The full aroma unfolds at a natural cask strength of 55.4% vol.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Waves of smoke, heather honey and ginger merging with cinnamon, syrup and vanilla.
Palate: Lush dark chocolate, ginger and citrus, with smoked spices, plantains and tannins.
