Linkwood 2009 Best Dram – 52.3%

The Linkwood 2009/2023 is also amazingly strong. After 14 years in the First Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead, the Speyside Single Malt marries nuts with dark fruits, dark chocolate and leathery notes.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Raisins and nuts meet dark toffee and a hint of nutmeg, eventually fading into older notes.

Palate: Surprisingly powerful, with nuts, dark fruits such as black cherries, plus some citrus, as well as dark chocolate and brushed leather on the back palate.

Finish: Dark aromas like black cherries merge with grated dark chocolate and a hint of tannins.
