This whisky was personally selected by Andrew Symington. It is a Linkwood from 1997, it matured for over 27 years in a fist fill Oloroso sherry hogshead.

The distillery Linkwood was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown and completely rebuilt by his Sohn William in 1871. It is located in the Speyside, south of Elgin next to the Lossie and surrounded by forest. The water that is used for producing the whisky comes from springs of the Loch Milbuis. Nowadays Linkwood is owned by Diageo.
