The Lind & Lime Gin is made in Leith, the former Distilling District of Edinburgh.
The gin is dedicated to James Lind:
“Born in Edinburgh in 1716, James Lind is a relatively unsung hero of the Scottish Enlightenment. A period between the 18th and 19th centuries in which Scotland became a center of intellectual and scientific achievement.
After informal medical training at the University of Edinburgh, he entered the Royal Navy as a Surgeons’ Mate in 1738 and became surgeon of a ship called HMS Salisbury in 1747. On this ship he conducted one of the first clinical trials ever, which played a significant role in the history of scurvy prevention.” (https://lindandlime.com/thestories)
