Kingsbarns Balcomie Cask Strength – 59,9%

A limited release from Kingsbarns Distillery, where they have now bottled the Kingsbarns “Balcomie”, matured in sherry casks, once in full Cask Strength. The edition here is only 3600 bottles, of which just 300 are available in Germany.
American Oak Oloroso Sherry Butts were used, which yielded their contents with 59.9% and here, too, of course: natural colouring and no cold filtration.
The original tasting notes
Nose: Soft caramel, fruit cake packed with sultanas, raisons and treacle.
Palate: The palate follows on with the sweetness ness of pineapple, syrup and cinnamon spice.
Finish: Good length of crystallised ginger and hazelnut milk chocolate.
