The visionary aspiration of the 100% Islay philosophy finds its expression in this unique single cask collection. Borne by the centuries-old tradition of “farm distilling”, the endless possibilities of the artisanal processes on site and an outstanding cask management, Kilchoman’s skilful variety is evident. Different cask types, vintages and smoke levels in cask strength are presented. Each cask is numbered for the release of I-X, each bottle individually numbered and provided with a short Distiller’s Tasting Note.

Original Tasting Notes: This 100% matured Islay Bourbon cask has a fresh feel with malted barley sugars, tropical and lemon notes and soft smoke.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
