Glenrothes 14 Years Darkness – 59,8%

With Darkness, the name says it all: The at least three-month refinement in small Sherry Octave Casks gives the independent bottlings their naturally dark color. The specially made barrels (the size of about an eighth of a standard Sherry Butt) ensure plenty of wood contact – and wonderfully dark fruity, spicy profiles.

This 14-year-old Glenrothes was finished in an Oloroso Sherry Octave and has a cask strength of 59.8%.

This 12 year old Glenrothes was finished in an Oloroso Sherry Octave and has a cask strength of 56.6%. It is a pleasantly fruity whisky.
