Inspired by the current observations, the independent bottler FRC has dedicated a rum to the lively marsupial. For the Quokka Edition 7 y.o., the North Germans worked with Australia’s oldest registered distillery.
The Beenleigh Artisan Distillers distilled the rum from molasses in column and pot still and stored it in bourbon casks. As sweet as the quokka, the blend was refined in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This highly aromatic finale lasted two years and took place in the continental climate of Germany.
The Quokka Edition 7 y.o. is limited to 1,500 bottles – and a real lucky find for connoisseurs. (Not just quokkas…)

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Soft and mild with vanilla, toasted aromas, dark fruits, caramel and cookie dough.
Palate: Sweetness, berry notes and toasty flavors with dried fruits.
Finish: Medium length, fruity and light, pleasant wood notes.
