Four Roses Small Batch – 45%

The Four Roses Distllery is located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. It has been owned by the Japanese Kirin Brewery Company since 2002.

Unlike most other bourbon producers, Four Roses does not use different barrels of the same whisky, but a blend of up to 10 different bourbon whiskies to make Four Roses. The 10 whiskies are made from 5 different yeasts and 2 grain blends, the yeast strains going back to the 5 distilleries acquired by the former owner Seagram in 1943.
