]]> Glengoyne what means as much as ‘valley of the arrow’ is located next to the border between the Lowlands and the Highlands. It started producing in 1837. The sleek distillery is owned by Ian McLeod Distillers Ltd and has brilliant tours for visitors.

Distilled in September 2008, the whisky matured in a sherry butt, which gave it typical sherry aromas of dried fruit, dark red fruits and chocolate. The single cask, limited to 283 bottles, was bottled exclusively for the German market.

]]> The distillery Aultmore (which means as much as ‘big stream’) is located north of Keith and therefore lays in the Speyside. It was built in 1896 by Alexander Edward. The Single Malt nearly only is used for blends.

]]> The Craigellachie is located in the Speyside. It was founded by Peter Mackie and others and built in 1891. In 1964 the distillery was extended to owning four stills. Nowadays the distillery is owned by Bacardi Martini. The water that is used came from the Hill of Little Conval, but today it comes from the Blue Hill.
