The whisky matured for over 13 years in a fresh bourbon cask and was bottled at a cask strength of 53.8%.
The cask yielded a total of 235 bottles.

On the palate, this whisky exhibits intense peat notes, toffee, smoke, and a pleasant spice.

]]> The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
