]]> The Bunnahabhain distillery is located at the kyle of Islay at the edge of the island in the northeast and lays that isolated, that there had to be constructed a long and curvy street down to the sea as it was built in 1881.The water that is used has its origin in an underground spring from the river Margadale and therefore it comes from Islay it has a relatively low concentration of peat. Until 2003 it was owned by an descendant of the founder, Highland Distillers. Nowadays it is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.

The last time it was allowed to spend in casks, the staves of which lay for 9 days at a depth of 20 feet (approx. 6 metres) in an algae forest.
This bottling supports the organisation Parley for the Oceans, which fights against plastic pollution of the world's oceans.

]]> The distillery is the only one on the island Skye until today. It was founded in 1831 by Hugh and Kennth MacAskill and is located at the Loch Harport. The water the distillery uses, comes from fourteen different stills.
