    Unspoilt nature, sleepy cottages next to cosy pubs and tea rooms – the Cotswolds are considered one of the most beautiful regions in England. Amidst the hilly picture-postcard idyll lies the Cotswolds Distillery, founded in 2014 in the small village of Shipston-on-Stour as the region’s first fully comprehensive distillery. Inspired by the stunning landscape, the distillery produces all-natural whisky from local, floor-malted barley.
    Exclusively for Kirsch Import’s customers, the Cotswolds Distillery allowed its fruity-complex raw spirit a particularly aromatic maturation period. The Cotswolds 2016/2022 matured in a Spanish oak hogshead, pre-aged with dry, nutty Oloroso-type sherry. The enticingly dark single cask bottling flowed at 59.9% vol. Cask Strength directly from the cask into a total of 297 bottles.

    The Cotswolds distillery is named after a region in the heart of England. The founder of the distillery, which is located in the county of Warwickshire, is the former Hedgefond Manager Daniel Szor from New York. Harry Cockburn, former Master Distiller from the Bowmore Distillery and Dr. Jim Swan, an expert for cask management, helped to establish the distillery with their experience.
