Together we have now selected another cask that we have bottled together for the "Art Edition" series of Whiskyjace. This is a 12-year-old Caol Ila from the island of Islay, which was first matured in a refill hogshead and then finished in a sherry octave. The cask then yielded a total of 107 bottles with a cask strength of 57.8%. We have divided the bottles between the two partners.

]]> The distillery is located north of Port Askaig on the isle Islay directly at the kyle of Islay. From the distillery you have a wonderful view of the isle Jura. It was built in 1846 and since 1974 it has a completely new stillhouse with six stills. It is owned by Diageo and can be mentioned as a good example for a ‘working house’ that mainly produces for blends for Johnnie Walker.

In addition to the vintage edition Ember, the Harzers delight with WillowBurn in various limited edition bottlings. One of them: WillowBurn Sherry Octave Matured.

The 5-year-old single malt from the Exceptional Collection was allowed to mature from the first to the last day in First Fill Sherry Octaves with a capacity of only 50-70 litres. These were previously filled with Pedro Ximénez sherry, the sweetest of the sweet wines, lovely cream and fruity Palo Cortado sherry. Its very round aromas such as malt, roasted almonds, orange marmalade and dark chocolate can be enjoyed by connoisseurs at 55.7 % vol. Cask Strength. In the high-quality wooden box, the WillowBurn is suitable for connoisseurs and collectors alike.
