For Cinco, a number of casks have been used in which five different types of sherry have previously matured. The five varieties are Oloroso, Fino, Pedro Xim̩nez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado.
Originally, these casks were to be used for an advanced master class, but instead High Coast decided to blend some of the casks together: this became Cinco.
High Coast believes that no other whisky has yet been created by combining these five different styles of sherry.
Cinco was launched as a web release on Systembolaget.se on 1 June and sold out the same day. It will also be available in selected international markets.
