For this limited edition, Matthew selected a special blend of 47% Manzanilla, 51% Bourbon, and 2% Oloroso sherry casks. In particular, the rare Manzanilla hogsheads—which were seasoned in Jerez for over 24 months—give the distillate its distinctive structure and the subtle salty notes typical of this coastal sherry.

The aromatic profile pays homage to the nostalgic atmosphere of a trip to the movies. On the nose, aromas of warm pineapple cake and creamy caramel blend with a subtle nutty depth. On the palate, the signature theme of this whiskey unfolds: a striking interplay of sweet-and-salty popcorn and roasted hazelnuts. With an alcohol content of 48.5% vol. and no chill filtration, the mouthfeel remains robust and oily, while in the finish, delicate sherry tannins and a hint of citrus provide an elegant balance.

]]> Nc’nean is Annabel Thomas’s dream come true: a modern, sustainable whiskey distillery in Scotland. Distillation has been underway on the coast of the Morvern Peninsula since 2017.
The whiskey is made from organically grown Scottish barley in a distillery powered entirely by renewable energy. It is bottled in the UK’s first fully recycled clear glass bottle. “Made by nature, not by rules” is the motto of one of the few women-led whiskey distilleries in the world.
