Caol Ila 1990 Cask Of Distinction – 51.5%

There is a lot of talk about rarities. This 32-year-old originally bottled Caol Ila, on the other hand, is probably really one. This whisky was bottled for the Wu Dram Clan, Bram and Floris & Pierrick and is limited to 181 bottles. It was matured for the entire duration in a refill American Oak Hogshead with the number 6223. The whisky itself is excellently balanced. It is more delicate on the nose, but definitely more powerful and full-bodied on the palate. It brings maritime, but also light fruity notes and citrus fruits.
