Distilled on 28.10.1998 and bottled in American oak casks followed by a finish in first fill Manzanilla sherry casks on 25.05.2016. Manzanilla sherry is famous for its coastal, nutty characteristics. Characteristics that the Bunnahabhain spirit shares. And that’s exactly why they go so well together. The result is a warm-hearted dram with salty and spicy notes to match the best of celebrations.
Nose: Notes of freshly baked pastry with sweet almonds, rose petals, grapefruit and dried spices are complemented by hints of mahogany and incense.
Taste: Coastal influences of seaweed and fresh sea air meet sultanas, dates and creamy fudge. Waxed red apples and a warm, sweet spiciness reminiscent of star anise.
